You’re tired, adjusting to your new routine, and your body is still healing. As a mom myself, I know exactly how that feels.
Many new mothers tell me they don’t want to be in front of the camera, but I always encourage them to be included in at least a few photos. Don’t stress — when you arrive at my Frederick Maryland photography studio, you can truly relax. You can even take a nap on the couch if you need to! If you’d like to do your hair or makeup here before your session, that’s perfectly fine too — no judgment, just comfort.
What to Wear for Beautiful, Timeless Images
When it comes to choosing what to wear for your newborn photos, I recommend keeping things simple and neutral. Think soft tones like cream, beige, grey, blush, or white. Neutral colors help your images look cohesive and timeless while keeping the focus where it belongs — on your beautiful baby.
Choose something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. A flowy dress or simple top that shows a little skin is lovely — that gentle skin-to-skin connection between you and your baby photographs beautifully.
And don’t worry about your post-baby body — I use flattering posing and angles to highlight your best features. Every mother you see on my website had a baby just a week or two old in those photos — and you’ll look and feel just as beautiful.
