Welcome!!! I’m Jennifer Riley. I am a natural light, on-location, photographer, based in Middletown, MD, serving the Frederick area and beyond. I specialize in newborn photography, maternity portraits, baby pictures, children’s portraits senior pictures, and family photography.
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with an abundance of creative talent in my home; the joy of creating art was passed down to me from my mother. My parents nurtured my creativity and encouraged me to pursue my passion.
I opted to study Early Education in college, earning my BA from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland and my M.A.Ed from Hood College. I’ve taught young children in the classroom and have run my own daycare in my home in Middletown, Maryland. Along the way, I’ve had two boys of my own and have delighted in watching them grow and develop passions of their own.
The itch to take my photography, my art, from a hobby to a profession continued to burn, as my own children began to grow. Watching my own babies grow older, made me appreciate how brief, and fleeting the moments of childhood can be. I wanted to freeze those moments in time, to preserve happiness in pixels, to bring people joy. So I pursued my passion of photography.
Jennifer Riley Photography is my passion. I aim to make family portraits a comfortable experience and put clients at ease. Nothing can compare to providing new parents the memory of their newborn baby and how they will never be this tiny again. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to capture their unique beauty.
